Fees and cancellations

  • Cancelling your place on a cooking course will always lead to you being charged a course-specific material fee in full if you cancel the course less than 10 days before the start of the course.
  • When you cancel your place on a course, you will be invoiced for both the course fee and a material fee or other fee included in the course, if the fee is mentioned in the course information.
  • You cannot cancel your enrolment by notifying the teacher.
  • Failure to pay the course fee or attend the course does not qualify as cancellation.

  • Normal cancellation conditions apply to individual courses included in the Open University curriculum, unless mentioned otherwise in the course description.

Lesson cancellations and changes

  • The Adult Education Centre has the right to change the teaching location and time of the course or change the course teacher. If necessary, the format of a course can be changed to be in-person, online or multiform. Changing the course format does not affect the price of the course.
  • If a course is changed or cancelled, we will inform you by text message, email or phone.
  • Our customer service is closed at weekends, which is why information about course changes or cancellations may come with a delay.

Course place from the waiting list

If the course is full, you can enrol on a waiting list. If a course place becomes available, we will contact you by a text message or e-mail. If the course is due to start in less than seven days, we will contact several people on the waiting list. The person who confirms first will get the course place.
